Research

  • I am interested in the formation and evolution of galaxies as well as the growth of the large-scale structure of the Universe. To study these exciting fields I make use of large cosmological simulations and models of galaxy formation, the outputs of which I compare to galaxy statistics obtained from galaxy surveys - large observational campaigns aimed at measuring the positions and properties of tens, towards hundreds, of millions of galaxies.

  • GALFORM

Much of my research involves working with the GALFORM model. GALFORM is a semi-analytical model of galaxy formation that was originally developed by a team at the Institute for Computational Cosmology, part of the astronomy research group at Durham University. Read more...
