Welcome to my webpage
I am currently a postdoctoral researcher in the astrophysics group at University College London, working with Ofer Lahav and Filipe Abdalla.
Prior to this, I undertook my PhD at the Institute For Computational Cosmology under the supervision of Carlton Baugh.
About me
- I am Christian and attend St Helen's Bishopsgate. Prior to this I attended Christchurch Durham.
-
I enjoy playing ultimate frisbee (known, officially, as
'ultimate'). Ultimate is a sport played in teams
of 7 (outdoors) or 5 (indoors/beach) where the objective is to catch the frisbee (or 'disc') in the end
zone of the opposing team.
I have played for several teams (based mainly in the North-east of England), including Durham Ultimate Frisbee, Ashes and The Brown. - I also enjoy orienteering and hill walking. In 2010 I participated in the
Highlander Mountain Marathon in
Gairloch, Scotland. Since my teammate and I had never done a mountan marathon before we entered the
lowest ability class (C class) and finished in a respectable 9/21 (not back given our lack of training!).
I really enjoyed the experience and am keen to enter more mountain marathons (and improve upon our ranking)!
Other activities that I enjoy include badminton, listening to music, going to the theatre and reading. In recent years I have started to do more travelling! I am a huge fan of Doctor Who.
