Dear Dana,
A Mass said with a rice flour host would be invalid, i.e., no Mass.
Canon Law (Canon 924, 2) says: "The bread must be wheaten only."
In case of allergy to wheat, provison can be made to receive Holy
Communion under the species of wine alone.
